OP, I looked at my car….it has the part your looking for. From the best I can tell, and has already been mentioned, I think you can disassemble the splash shield / underside of the bumper and possibly remove the standard black inserts and install the shiny inserts.

Why not just order the inserts and try to install? It's the only way to answer your question, since everyone else here is just guessing. Blaze the path and share the info. If it doesn't work, return the parts

What color is your LT1 going to be? I ordered mine as well and after considerable thought realized that the RS package looks fantastic on black cars but not so great on the silver I was ordering.

It's metallic orange, and I am actually considering paint the insert orange, so it is kind of unique. I mean, the non-RS LT or LT1 lower grille is kind of too dark all the way around, thus something like the silver insert should make the look less boring. It doen't really do much other than giving some details to the otherwise all black lower grille, just my 2 cents.

I did the same for my previous 2LT, painted the RS grille inserts garnet red myself and they came out pretty nice.

Good luck, you'll enjoy the DIY and will end up with a unique, yet OEM looking front end.

Has anyone figured out if the silver V shaped inserts work on a non RS? By the looks of the silver trim pieces, seems like the lower grille would need slots for it snap into. With that said, seems like the lower grille would have to be different and have the slots for them to pop into.. I wouldn’t mind adding them to my LT1 but if it’s gonna require a new lower grille, the price out weighs the reward..

Bumping this post up...has anyone tried installing those V-shaped inserts into their non-RS LT?

It seems like they should just fit in the space (no inserts there now...just grille) but not sure how the tabs would work.
