I have wondered if someone else had an experience with Ted similar to mine, and it seems you have. I emailed and called him about only an ECM tune and all he wanted to talk about was the chassis and suspension mods I should make. Jeez.

There's a bunch of good tuners who will tune your car via email if you have HPT.

I'm surprised. This is the first negative feedback I've seen on Jannetty. I've dealt with Ted a few times in the past and always had a fantastic experience. He tuned my 5th gen and I also purchased some parts from him in the past. When I need a tune for the ZLE, JRE is where I'll be going.

There's no such thing as 100% success rate in a customer facing business. You can check his google reviews of his shop (including mine), there'll be the occasional outlier. You can't make everyone happy no matter what you do.

I've used Phoenix as well. He seems to be a reliable person.

The best tuner is the one that is willing to take the time to fully dial in a properly setup combo. As of late I have received PM's from guys who have used some of the names mentioned in this thread and quite frankly the tunes were not finished or there will still things that needed addressed. What most customers seem to be getting is a "good enough" tune. I believe the issue is some of these shops/tuners having more business then they can keep up with.

The other problem with remote tuning is what type of customer you are dealing with. what is the condition of the car, and does it have any mechanical issues? Some will come to the forums complaining about X tuner but don't tell both sides of the story. Tuners can not tune around mechanical issues or junk parts.

LOL, I told a tuner earlier this year, 'mine is throwing a bunch of DTCs.' He said, 'well, if it's running good don't worry about it.'

I've had two of my GM vehicles tuned by Pray and will likely get this one tuned by him when the time comes. If it wasn't him, it would be GPI and no one else. Pray is also a one man show that is being assisted by his wife to field messages and purchase orders. Dude is wild busy and that has to come with some level of expectation management.

I used Mike at Vengeance Racing. So far we've corresponded over 100 times in the past year. He's been super helpful and pretty quick too respond also.

he got me in on 4th of July weekend last year to do a tune on my zl1...i don't think he's choosy at all.

Bottom line, when it comes to tuning i would go with the ones who have BEEN tuning these cars. Don't pick someone that says they CAN tune these cars if you know what I mean lol Pray, GPI and all the other big names that are tuning these cars are all awesome.
