Insist on an OEM windshield for both overall fit, clarity and quality. Have you ever seen wavy lines in the glass or brand-new wipers that smear in the middle of a knockoff windshield? And no, you do not have lane departure warning, but you do need a special windshield if you have the HUD.

Not third party, not alternate part, not similar to….. the exact same part used on the assembly line when these are built.

Also, if you have HUD, you have forward collusion warning on all 2019 and later models. If you do not have HUD, you do not have forward collision warning.

Camaros have blind spot warning, but NOT lane departure warning.
Unless you have PDR, which deletes FCA

lane departure warnings use cameras, most often located under the windshield glass, so when the windshield is replaced, these may have to be recalibrated. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you don't have it (and Camaros don't as far as I know).

Other features like active cruise control most often use a radar, but a few use cameras too.

My old job and my new job colliding violently here. To answer the OP’s questions, there are no Camaros built with Lane Departure Warning. Period.

In an old job at GM, my team was responsible for implementing new technologies in new vehicle programs. We wanted to add LDW to Camaro because it was on the same architecture as Cadillacs that we were adding it to. Camaro team said no. End of story.

In my current job, without going into too much detail, we provide certain companies VIN breakdowns of option loads so that when customers need to replace windshields, customers can input their VIN and the company’s database will know which options, like HUD, LDW, Adaptive Cruise, et cetera are on their specific vehicle and match it to a windshield part number.

My glass installer, who has a great reputation locally, mentioned to make sure to get Pilkington glass, which is OE glass for the Camaro. He said it may not have the GM logo, but is the same glass. He stated he has not had issues with HUD using Pilkington glass, whether OE or their aftermarket variety.

On a side note, be glad our cars don't have all that nanny nonsense like lane departure warning. Not only is it not needed, it is extremely annoying. I sold the last car I owned because the stupid nannys were so intrusive it made driving the car a pain in the rear. Alarms going off every few minutes, moving the steering wheel for me, etc. No thanks, I know how to drive.

.
Not accurate, I have a 2020 1SS 1LE and have HUD, but no forward warning, or any other, for that matter, so not all, depends on trim level

As others have stated, go OEM

My wife's Telluride has all those bells and whistles, and in her car, it works.

I would not want any of that in my Camaro.

Same glass

I had the glass replaced on my '16 2LT (HUD equipped) convertible late last year. In talking with the tech (Safelite) he indicated that for a lot of very specific and small volume options they source OEM glass, remove the factory etching and etch their own logo. I can't verify the veracity of the statement.

So you may be getting OEM glass even if it has someone elses logo...

Who knows what GM is doing with these cars, my 23 ZL1 has everything listed as well as forward collision alert! The only options on my car are auto trans and red seat belts.

To save some effort, Forward Collision Alert (FCA) is deleted/not available on a car when

- PDR is optioned
- Convertible

It is standard on 3LT, 2SS, and ZL1 only. Not able to be optioned otherwise
