This is at a fraction of the cost. I've been holding off but I'm tired of getting tired shine over the side. Next will be rock chips.
It isnt the sheet metal that is drilled just the felt fender liner.

Fender liner wasn't a big deal to me.

Yeah, but then are your rock guards held in place by a felt fender liner? I don't know why it was not possible to reuse the slot(s) with the metal tab(s) that receive push pins holding the liner in place.

Heck, at the dragstrip I even lost an RPI rock guard that was clipped into the metal, can't imagine how well a wobbly fender liner plus some double sided tape can reliably hold a front rock guard. I must be missing something.

I’m not taking sides here, but what I can say for sure is that the ACS rock guards aren’t going anywhere. The 3 very large rivets and double sided tape make the fronts solid as a rock. Seriously, the rivets pull the liner and the rock guard together in such a way that the assembly is very rigid. The double sided tape is no joke, it’s very strong. The price, that’s the weak part.

As far as how well they protect the car… better than nothing, but surely not the best option. Eh, they look good…
