4300 no scheduled delivery date. Car was finished late may.

Dealer did get a shipment of Camaros and other cars. Mine wasn't on it.

Was told last week that most Camaros would be transported by July 24th but just received a message from dealer that date pushed back to mid-August. The problem appears to be at the storage facility.

Question, does GM see all the orders sitting at 1100? For example, if GM is about to do a run of Rapid Blue ZL1s, will they see all of them queued up and accept orders based on production efficiency or will they keep orders queued up wait for an allocation? For example, I have seen some at the back of the line get moved up and accepted since it met all criteria for production.

They don't see them the way that you may think. Your dealer sets the order for there orders in 1100 status. GM tells the dealer you can have 2 Camaros but set the guidelines to what trim options etc. So you may be first in line of the 1100 at your dealer but if want the 1LE and dealer gets allocation for non 1LE you will get skipped over. Same for if want Convertible but they get Coupe allocation. As far as I know they dont do batching for certain trims or colors so that part doesnt really matter.

This is exactly what happened to me last week. I was next in line for an allocation, and when they finally get one I get skipped because 1LE's are on constraint.

This happened to me twice since may. My dealer got allocations for vents so my SS 1LE got skipped.

I finally got an update that my car was transferred to the lot to get its hood wrap and have an eta (for the first time) of 7/31. Not getting my hopes up but I guess we will see what happens. Hope this means that some of your cars are taking this same step as well

I received news today that my car was transported yesterday from MI to PA and is waiting truck transport.

The car was built late May and was at 4B00 for a while. So glad that it finally started moving. Hopefully that means some of yours will be as well. Last checked ETA of 7/29.

My car was built sometime in April and is in 3800 status. Dealer cannot or will not tell me anything remotely helpful.

My 22 is at 3800 w/delayed ETA. Completed 6/23, most likely waiting for hood wrap.

This is really good information that I think is skipped over in a lot of threads for people looking to understand the waiting process.

What this section really needs is a tweak to the Newbie Guide sticky that breaks down the allocation process in more detail so potential buyers can ask the right questions when selecting a dealer. The current sticky touches on this but I think it omits some simple questions for people to ask.

Even this good info (in the current sticky) could be expanded on as it moves too quickly and doesn't touch on the items you point out:

Second, dealers are told at the beginning of every model year the number of units they are expected to order. This is their Guide Number, so called because it is intended to help a dealer "floor plan."
Third, many dealers confuse Guide Number with Allocation. I have no problem with that as 97.5% of dealer orders are retail stock, and the difference is meaningless except for the 2.5% retail sold consumers.
Fourth, dealers are told every other Thursday how many Allocations (a portion of the Guide Number) they can use over the following two weeks AND this number of orders will be divided over two weeks.
To summarize, say the dealer is given 50 units as a Guide, that means about 1 unit every weekly ordering process from 2 units awarded in the every other week ordering process. If the dealer sells a dozen Camaros every year, change the 50 to 12 and reduce the bi-weekly consensus to conform. By the way, this awkward system meets laws and demands of court decisions.

Talked with a live agent on Chevy Chat this morning (7/21) and she stated that my car (22 Rapid Blue 1LE) was completed and awaiting transport. A couple hours later my salesman called me and said that my car was in. So everybody getting info from Chevy/GM be aware that their info may not be accurate. Want to Thank the late and forever great Joe P (RIP), DC Sales/DylanZLE and the Camaro6 community for all the helpful info and support as we wait for our beloved cars during this crazy period.
