I’ve done decent amount of small PPF work and have learned to work with it. Heating, resetting, stretching etc. I just did the upper most part of my bumper. Thought it looked great, until the next day when I could really see it in the light. Either a cat hair or my own hair got entrapped under the film. I just couldn’t live with it and pulled the film off. Next time (if there is one) it’s a fresh set of clothes and a clean dew rag for me. Its extraordinarily difficult to keep debris from getting under the film (in a home garage situation / or outdoors as an amateur). Really good lighting is imperative as well. Anything low on the body requires (at least for me) a sheet on the ground. Once your heads touch the bare ground with wet hands and you decide to readjust, it’s game over. |
