It's the fact that the Blackwing runs the GM Global B ECU that allows the higher power/tq numbers. One of the advantages to Global B is the ability to use a factory installed wideband O2 sensor. With a wideband, the hugely upgraded ECU can be more aggressive with the tune.

With no tuning changes...a shop put on a ported LT4 blower and picked up 60hp. All because the ECU/wideband could compensate.

Another thing the ZL1 won't get is MRC4. The new version of MagRide requires Global B because it has additional sensors at each wheel.

Don't look for anything but cosmetic changes for the final model year.
This site says the Blackwing LT4 has more than just a new cover on it. See "Number of tweaks".

The point of my reply is not to get into the minutia of LT4 differences, but why Camaro will never get some of the new stuff.

CT5 LT4: A ready wet-sump oiling and vent system have also been installed, complete with an external oil separator and drain-back.

That would be nice to have on the ZL1.

Isn't the LT4 in the ZL1 already equipped with a wet sump? Also noticed the coolers in the supercharger on the ZL1 are bigger and the cover itself is taller than the one in the Cadillac. I compared diagrams side by side at work because I was curious about it.

Thanks for all the information. Looks like I will be waiting awhile. I have the GM Order work bench that is for dealer use only which says 1100 Accepted. I thought that meant the order was Accepted? Or does that mean they have an allocation? Either way it says it.

1100 = order placed at the dealer
2000 = order accepted by Chevrolet.

Just have a look at the Camaro Orders/tracking/dealers section on this forum. In the stickies they have a list of the event codes.

I just want to get to 2000 so it’s out of the dealers hands and up to GM at least. My build shouldn’t be an issue, I don’t believe any of my options are on constraint

All that means is the dealer put the order in the system. They don't have an allocation for it yet.

I just switched my order from a SS 1LE to a ZL1 and I am also at 1100.

So the dealer in my area has a 23 Black ZL1, auto, no real options to speak of except data recorder (who cares about that) -

but as of today it's available and at 3400 status supposed to be built very shortly. I was going to buy it but I found a brand new 22 the exact same car with 6 speed it's on the ground now so I bought it. Anyone want to know where this is let me know by message I'll give you the information. They were selling to me for MSRP ... Car will be located in central NC ...

I also have a 1LE on order with this dealer but chances of seeing that are getting slimmer by the day -

BTW, anyone wanting a Bronco - having owned one for a short time do yourself a favor skip the hype and aggravation and order a Toyota TRD PRO better vehicle all around less money and less BS ...

When is Chevy supposed to update the configurator on the website for the 23s?

I had heard early-mid July, but since that hasn't happened I'm thinking they are probably waiting for a few key shipments to come in so they don't have to launch the configurator with the "Not equipped with" selections.
