Well it depends on how you classify the wing. I thought HIGH Wing meant like a non factory wing like a TRACK WING. It really doesnt matter to me as far as classing. I guess I will ask CODY to determine that. I will post back HERE his response. It seems like it would be hard for a ZL1 NOT to be in Lap Attack 3 group or faster since they are supercharged.

CLASS 3

OK guys. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Cody says I should be in Attack 3. I have asked him to move me over.

I will also be on the RT660s. Will be interesting to compare to my lap times I did on the G3Rs.

My guess is you can probably get within about 2 seconds of your GY3R's times running the same course. I plan on starting out at about 30PSI cold on the RT660's. I expect with temps they will expand up to 36-37PSI Hot. I am running 315's all the way around but I probably WONT run my DTC70 DTC60 brake pad setup. I I will be going with stock BREMBO pads.

The 660s will be a min of 2 seconds off the 3Rs times, imo, and are a tad better than the regular F1 3S. For sure will be interesting to see how they do!

The RT660s turned out to be 4 seconds slower than the G3Rs on the 3.1 mile track. They were still good enough for me to grab 1st place in class.

That extra -1 of camber must really make a difference in poke?
I am running a 20x11 w/ 26mm spacer w/ 305 30 20 SC3 square with -2.5 front and am getting a lot of poke up front.

You must be super close on your inside strut?

Great Job Mike. I lost my brakes on the 1.3 portion and went dirt tracking at the end on the straight (LOL). I am pretty proficient on the 1.7 portion but it was my first time on the 3.1 and I had some issues with the 1.3 portion of the 3.1.

I used the stock BREMBO pads and my guess is I simply got them too hot causing some pretty severe brake fad. In looking at the pads later I should have changed them out PRIOR to this race and I flat just missed it. I thought I had brought my spare set but I was mistaken.

Next track event is SCCA track night at EAGLES CANYON NEXT saturday. They run that in conjuction with the Time Trails that runs BOTH Saturday and Sunday. Hope to see you there.

Yes we had to grind the SHIT out of the strut bracket. -1 more camber makes a ton of difference. SInce my 18 x 11 APEX wheels had ET25 and I and using a 5MM spacer on front then my NET is ET30.

The wheel is TOO close to the strut without the spacer. There was MAYBE the thickness of a piece of paper clearance if you DO NOT use the 5MM spacer.

Small correction here: spacers subtract offset rather than add to it. Remember, the more offset you have the further in your wheel sits, whereas a spacer pushes it back out. So with et25 and a 5mm spacer your net offset is 20mm.

But that's really interesting because Chevy only uses 11mm offset on the 19x11 front wheel of the ZL1/1LE using 305/30/19 front tires. So they are being really conservative and there seems to be a bit of room to play with there if you could get away with a 1/2" less wheel/tire radius and 9mm more offset.
