That really depends on several factors, how much pulley, ambient temps, whether or not the vehicle has upgraded heat exchangers and whether or not the car is hot lapped.

I’m in other ZL1 groups besides this forum and most of the guys I see pulley swapping don’t install any cooling mods. This forum is the exception in that regard. |

There are no heat soak issues with a stock LZ1 or 1LE. Once you started modding, heat soak becomes an issue.

Yes, at road atlanta during the summer. I installed the extra reservoir and so far no issues.

My worst heat soak issue was at Gateway in St Louis. I did back to back runs on a 95 deg day and ran a 11.6 @ 120mph on the second run. The car typically traps 124 MPH. I let it cool down for about an hour with the hood up and ran a 11.36 @ 124.

The ZL1/ZLE might be one of the best cooled FI track cars ever, so a non issue IMO as long as you stay stock other than CAI, exhaust, no tune or anything else that voids warranty.
