I haven't tried, but it should be possible to mute these pesky chimes here in Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience (what an apt name, ha):

Not that I care, but the airbag looks at the seat belt sensor before deployment.

- no belt: the airbag comes out at full force. Nothing holding you back and no pretensioners. It's gonna leave a mark.
- bypassed seat belt: the airbag comes out slower with less force. You will hit the bag as it's deploying (instead of deflating). It's gonna snap your head back.

I'd opt for the first one since the 2nd can be a severe neck injury.
