What are the details of the steering issue? I've got a two post lift in my new shop and was considering dropping the subframe the next time I remove the motor.

If you have a M6 and doing the clutch at the same time you can save a lot of time from not messing with the radiator, radiator fans, and condenser by doing the cam from the rear of the motor.

There have been issues where the cars would suddenly lose its powere steering while driving. I believe it was caused by intermittent break in grounding after working on the car.

idk people say pull it as it only takes a few hours, but really didn't think it took a few hours to remove radiator and front bumper cover. I did mine in car and honestly don't think you would save time pulling it.

If I had an engine hoist and stand I might have pulled it, but might have still just did it in the car. If you are doing TC at the same time then pull it.

Edit - didn't see the new oil pump, yep forsure pull it, wouldn't want to deal with removing oil pan and all the other bs in car.
