Value is debatable but try to buy a set of four upgraded pretty nice wheels and $1500 takes up most all of that.

This is an old thread however if OP went into the linked thread and then used the spreadsheet and VIN to find his window sticker, I would wager that it would only show the following 3 options included for the RS Package on the car given the LT1 trim:
RS PACKAGE 1,495.00 TAIL LAMPS, LED BLACK BOWTIE BADGES DECK LID-MOUNTED LIP SPOILER ***NOTE - Window sticker does not mention the different RS specific headlights/grill combo under options. IMO, if it did, that would help justify the cost. Also I would not be surprised to see BLACK BOWTIE BADGES listed under BOTH the STANDARD EQUIPMENT - EXTERIOR and the RS PACKAGE. I was looking at new LT1s and used but couldn't get over some features that annoyed the hell out of me. Even with the RS package added.
Don't want to bash the trim you chose, so I'll keep them to myself. Unless you really want to know. I went with a '23 1SS 6MT NPP ect with 9k miles instead. Very glad I didn't settle.

Totally a matter of choice, but I personally hate the non RS look.
