Andrew at Complete Street Performance figured out a way to
program/Tune 2nd gear starts, change shift points and improve
torque management which helps to optimize the application of
increased horsepower through the 10L90 transmission to the wheels
for better acceleration and Elapsed Times than if the TCM was locked
and or untuneable.
ie. If two 850 rwhp tuned 2019 ZL1's drag raced, the one with the tuned
10L90 transmission would probably beat the one that did not have the
transmission tuned for 2nd gear start, shift points and torque management.

Rolling is much more predictable and consistent in Manual mode, because downshifts are eliminated. Any roll on warm to hot (>50F) payment from 40 mph in 3rd and up is doable with minimal tire spin.

Not sure yet how best to get the car down a drag trip but the ECM can be tuned to make torque more manageable down low.

These late model ZL1/1LE's are designed more for road racing.
