To the OP I think it depends on the car and how it has been maintained and what is important to you.

I recently bought a 2019 with 7K miles. I was looking for a non-1LE with a M6 and was not finding a car I liked until this one. The story I got was the guy owned it for a little over a year and decided he did not like the M6 so traded it in. It is black but the original owner had the entire front end clear wrapped in Xpel so the entire front end still looks brand new. Otherwise, I would imagine a 7K black ZL1 with no clear bra would have many noticeable nicks on the front end. I feel fortunate to find this car. Hope this helps? And good luck with your search.

I would look for one with 12k miles or less. Recently seen a 2017 Hyperblue A10 with 4k miles sell for 49k 2 months ago. So they are out there if you look hard enough.

Get a 2019+ so you can sleep better at night - oil pump failures

It don't even get warmed up. I am only 4 miles from work. When i had my 06 C6 back in 07 i was one mile from work.

Ride a bike. If I didn’t have to get on a state highway for .5 miles, I would.

These arent Mclarens or Lambos, drive them. If normal maintenance is done on them i don't see a reason to buy one with more miles. They aren't a collectors item. Then again, i just paid off my 2019 ZL1

80% of my miles on mine is all highway... I would honestly be more worried about lower miles and ones used for racing.

With a used car like a Camaro that I plan to drive, I focus much more on the car’s condition than milage. When shopping for mine I saw 4,000 mile gems that looked like they had 40,000 miles. I also like to have 3-4 months worth of factory bumper to bumper left just in case there are unknown issues.

OP, I was in your shoes about 2 months ago and finally got my '18 ZL1 with 3012 miles on it. Personally, I didnt want anything over 15k miles (max) and even then I was usually looking for under 10k. In the end I noticed that if I wanted under 5k miles, the price was going to be right about 55k (or atleast thats the max I was willing to spend). Anything really past 7-8k miles (up to around 12-15k) the price was usually 50-52k (usually you could talk the person to 50k). And the '17s usually were about 1k less than the '18s. I never looked at 19s or newer as I didn't like the newer design.

Deals are out there, but you have to be patient and dedicated about an hour or 2 through out the day looking. You also have to either be willing to travel (and drive back) or have it shipped to you. Im in AZ and my quote for a car in Texas was $750-800 (wife and I ended up getting a flight and driving back abd making a long weekend out of it) and from North Carolina it was $1800-2k. I think I found 1 in Connecticut but it was around 2500 to ship so any "deal" I found was ate up by shipping.

It has 25,000 miles on it but is over 20k less dollars. My yearly driving miles will be under 3,000 per year. In a normal car 25,000 miles would be fine. As we all know this is not a normal car. How are these cars as the miles go up? Why would or would not you buy this car?
I've worked in two dealership with both new and used cars. and here's my 2 cents (whether you'll want it or not, LOL. too late now).... Always buy new and keep long. Yes it's more cash, but you know EVERYTHING that has been done to that car. There is nothing hidden. Yes, you can get lucky and get a good one. But you can also get a headache. I'd rather have a 70,000 dollar car that I know from day one. Than a 50,000 dollar car that might or might not have hidden issues. 20,000 over 10 years is worth it. Plus you'll get the entire warranty and probably can buy an extended one. My last sportscar I was so lucky I bought new. I broke the tranny twice and the diff once and the seals twice and the turbos once. and I had bought the extended warranty. it was totally worth buying new. I broke her in. I got to smell the new leather. it was wonderful..... Then there's my girl's 2008 CRV. I take care of it on time and it still runs perfect. It will be good for another 10 years at least. Just pay. Besides, I'm paying about 225,000 Dollars for my ZL1 which arrives here in Bangkok in about 1 week. And I'm so happy! And I only get a 1 year warranty. Buying new is usually worth it if you keep long.

One more thing, If you're financing anything, you'll get a better interest rate on a new car. which brings down the hidden cost of the car.

Missed this, but nice.

Not sure why mine wasn’t a “Certified” used.

All I was offered was an aftermarket B2B, which I did get.

I would have also. But crossing US19 is not for the faint of heart. I have seen so many people almost get hit running across US19.
