Love my LT1 so far! Currently at 989 miles. Nothing I really dislike about it. I chose the Recaro seats as I'm on the skinny side, and I am loving these seats too! They really hug you and keep you in place. Ride quality not bad considering you have a sports car. Not too harsh. Consider also that you get all seasons, same tire size all around too. All in all, I have no regrets at all. You'll be happy!

I am at 650 miles on my LT1. I agree with what is being said here so far. But be aware it uses 93 octane! Not sure if it's available in Cali.

I don't have 93 octane near me and I haven't had issues using 91 octane at all. I have no pinging or anything but I will never put anything below 91 octane in my Camaro. Premium fuel or bust.

This... I live in Kalifornia... 91 Octane is all we can get, my 2S runs fine, the computer will pull a little timing and all will be fine... I agree, I'll never run anything less than 91 Octane... If you can afford the car you better be able to afford to feed it properly...

Throw a Gallon of Xylene in with every 10 gallons of gas and you'll have 93 octane.
I have run mine as low as 92 and haven't seen any timing pulled. The motor has never seen straight 91 except for the dealer fill up. Once the fuel level dropped enough, in went the Xylene.

I think a used LT1 will be my next car. Price is right and headers and tune will wake it up. I like my exhaust loud so a after market exhaust will be installed.
Loved the sound of my modded C6 with headers and no CATs. |

95 Imp, if you didn't see any timing pulled than there is probably not as much timing pulled on 91 but I am going to do the Xylene you suggested. I am assuming you can get that from the gas station or is it something I need to get online or at a parts store

isn't Xylene like $30 per gallon? The way my ZL1 drinks gas,,, no thanks. I rather deal with a little timing being pulled vs that cost.

Where ae you in VA you can only get 91? I've spent a lot of time in Hampton roads area and Martinsville and have always been able to get 93.

I can get 93 + all day, everyday here in VA. I was referring to another poster who suggested just add Xylene fuel additive. I looked up the cost and that seemed liked a very pricey option just to get a little higher octane level.

Xylene can be found at most any hardware store/paint supply. Not only is it a component of gasoline, it is used as a paint thinner. 1 gal runs about $20 here. You can get a better price on 5/15/55 gal drums. I got a quote from Sherwin-Williams on 55 gal drum @ $10/gal. 100 octane at the pump here is 8.99/gal. You need 3 gal 100 to 10 gal 91 in order to hit 93. It's cheaper to go with Xylene plus there is only one gas station here (that I know of) that has 100 O and it's 10 miles away. Xylene is down the street at the hardware store. Toluene is another option. It only has 114 and costs the same as Xylene. Toluene seems harder to find too. The other thing is you need a long funnel to clear the capless fuel gashole. I use a tranny funnel. Works great and there is some distance between the funnel opening and the car to keep drips/splashes off the paint.

I love the A10 LT1. Its a very fast car and you have a blank canvas to do what you want with it.
