What I don't like about it was the long hose and how much dealing with that added extra time. Coiling, uncoiling, untangling, keeping free from getting caught on stuff, etc. Made us feel extra rushed in grid between drivers and took us *that* much longer to be packed and get off the site at the end of the day.

My codriver bought a Milwaukee M12 inflator. We used it once. I bought one for myself and haven't looked back.

Turn it on, fix it to the tire valve, set the pressure you want, start it and walk away. It's louder and slower, but so, so, so much more convenient. And since we have two, we can tires twice as fast in grid.

Not too expensive and frequently on sale. If you're already in the Milwaukee M12 battery system, you don't need any new batteries either.
That is a good price! I'm in the Mil-eco but it seems like the inflator doesn't work very well on a 2.0 battery. I only have one 4.0 battery at the moment, which is reserved for impact duty.

Have you used it with the 2.0 battery?

My 5 gallon air compressor is on it's way out, so I bought this as an in between. I can run an angle grinder and other light tools off it. I went with the Ridgid impact. My main uses of air are for tires and the impact. I'm now in the "Ridgid" eco-system, so I have several of their tools. They offer lifetime warranties on most of their stuff including the batteries.

The compressor is about the same size as the 2 Gallon air tank that I used to haul to the track. It gets to full pressure in 5-10 seconds.

I've run it almost exclusively on the 3.0 that came with it. At one event, I forgot to charge it when it was low so I used a 1.5 that was in a ratchet and it worked fine.
