I used to carry one in my Corvette, I took that car to many car shows and the judges always looked for one, as well as a first aid kit.

I have used one in my SS, mounted to the front of the passenger seat. Upsides of this style include no permanent mods to the interior, and the extinguisher is within reach of the driver. Downside is, cannot move the passenger seat forward. Attaching picture of it below.
