Also, not the topic but do you guys recommend any outdoor cover? Just so I can wipe snow right off when it snows. I would only use it before it snows so cleaning is easier.

I have mine tinted already otherwise I would go see him. I have the windshield tinted from the top about 3&1/2 inches down, I know there's an AS1 line but it's covered and on the passenger side lol. Last time I told a state trooper there isn't one and the law states 5 inches from the top, he didn't look too pleased

Didn't get a ticket for it though

I have 30% on mine and can see perfectly at night, Over a year and still love it

I've tried putting a picture in a few times but it won't let me load it in. I will have to try a different source. I guess the upload doesn't like imgur. Try that link to view it.

Hmm, it definitely does look nice, but I feel like full tint would look better as it did on my old car ( I had the stripe before doing full windshield on my old car). Then again full windshield tint also brings more complications unfortunately

Yeah they don't mess around down here in Tx with full windshield tint. Guaranteed pull over during the day.

That, and it was akin to driving with shades on at night.

Tinting a windshield is ridiculous, but I do think Texas is crazy with their tint laws. Way too conservative, it's too damn hot down here LOL.

I agree, I would never tint the entire windshield personally, unless it was air80 or the likes to keep heat out. I use a covercraft during summer months (Spring to fall) lol.

I actually think they're fairly nice on the tint laws here.. why MI has no restrictions at all I'm not sure, but Tx being at 25% is one of the lowest aside from New Mexico which still allows 20%.

Thanks for the education

Well, if you guys are talking about side window tints, here I am NJ which doesnt allow tints at all lol. Only in the back but that would apply to sedans and suvs only lol

I’m sure I’ll get a ton of hate for this, but I can’t stand it when people tint their side windows so dark I can see them. This is really a safety issue. I can’t see if people are looking at me or not. I need to know that they are paying attention. I agree that it looks nice to have the side windows tinted dark, but if it’s so dark people can’t see in I wonder if they are hiding something sometimes. But hey, if it’s not against the law in your state...go for it. I just have to be extra cautious at stop signs and stop lights until I know they see me. Let the hate begin, but I’m not sorry.
