this is what I got this afternoon. of course I left the drivers door open all night somehow running in from the garage to dinner. I dont think the inside lights stay on more than 15 mins.

My battery has been dropping to the 11s. I’ll drive it for a bit and it’ll be around 14 and then I turn it off and then back on and the battery goes back to 11s on start up. I do have air suspension hooked up to the battery so I thought maybe I made a mistake somewhere with the installation but i disconnected everything that’s not oem, even the dash cam and it’s still doing the same thing. At this point I’m thinking it’s the battery or the alternator. What’s my worst case scenario if the battery turns out to not be the problem? Just replace the alternator?

dont forget to drop full charge voltage by 0.0144 volts for every 10 degrees F below 80

it is winter temps in many areas.

The battery is in the trunk, you gonna have a little loss because of wire distance. 12.4 is fine.

any one knows how the battery should be load tested? in the past autozone could connect directly to the battery, is that still required? as battery is now behind the panels in the back. or could the load test be perform under the hood?

Just get a new battery from Walmart , that way it is covered anywhere in the US.
Also a good battery tender.

Costco has Interstate AGM batteries. Direct replacement for the Camaro, including the vent hose connection.

Some of us,not everybody,a few, maybe a minority, try to determine if something is actually bad before running out and buying something new.

Different way of looking at it.

Already been down this road.....
There is a battery drain on Camaros and Vettes and the stock batteries are junk. If you keep going its going to burn up the starter. We spend thousands of dollars to make these cars look and run better. But cant drop $200.00 to keep it running correctly......

With no load, the battery voltage drop is negligible for that distance.

I didnt think the starter amp draw was excessive nor the amp draw with the car off. But I am monitoring the system.

Im going to buy a battery before it dies because of the complications with entering and exiting this car as well as accessing the battery in the event the battery does die just isn't worth it since everything is keyless (requires power)

I've got a 2017 with about 38k miles on it now, how soon should I replace it?

I bought my car about 5 months ago and started getting 'slow to crank' symptoms within a few weeks. Replaced the battery and have had no more issues. At the first sign of the 'slow to crank', I start looking at batteries and this has served me pretty well. Also, put a battery charger on the under hood power points when you are changing the battery and you won't have to reset anything.
