The SS 1LE, ZL1 and ZL1-1LE all come with the Goodyear Supercar Gen 3 tires and they ARE NOT Run Flat tires, hence those cars all come with the inflator kit with the slime.

When (usually older) people give me the line "they sure don't build cars like they used to" as if cars today are total junk, I give them the biggest of eye-rolls.

I totally agree, and cannot tell you how many time have have responded: "No they don't build them like they used to, thank God".

As far as working on them, I actually find modern cars easier to diagnose and fix- on the whole.
So I would encourage you to give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised.
Borrow or buy a good code scanner and you will probably be amazed at what it can tell you.

Not exactly 1lt and 2 LT that have the RS package have runflats and no air pump kit .
But lucky me when the salesman was showing me the car he opened the trunk I said hey look the air pump is missing, so what did he do he went to another Camaro on the lot took it and put it in mine.
He said he’d order another for the other car. Somebody up there likes me.

I added an air pump and a plug kit in the trunk when I got the car. Now that I don't have the run flats, it more important but I will call for road side assistance for a major problem. Like this:

The key point here is if the car has run flats from the factory it doesnt get the inflator kit, only the cars that come with non runflat tires get the inflator kit from the factory.
