Wow, the Fbird brings back memories. I was so close to buying a convertible same as yours, in a sparkle chocolate color. Everything inside, including engine was in awesome shape. The body had a decent amount of bondo filler (started to bubble the paint) ...so, the deal fell through. I still think about that car...

The bird is a little off subject for this forum, but since you bring it up, I will say we really enjoy the Firebird. My wife had a 67 convert bird in high school and always wanted one. We bought this California car 5 years ago. Numbers matching 400 automatic. Complete restoration to factory specs by me (except paint). Mostly NOS or original restored parts - not much reproduction parts on the car.

That Firebird is beautiful. I had a few friends with 67-69 Firebirds that were sweet. I still see these guys here and there about 20 years later and they obviously say they regret selling. Funny though, all of us still own one or more sweet rides. Car guys that’s for sure.

Welcome to the vert family, very nice choice! Hopefully you'll be able to get the car out soon after this last storm! I'm lucky enough to have a 2013 and 2018 ZL1 vert in basically the same color. The 2013 is in Crystal Red Tint Coat (CRT) and the 2018 is the Garnet Red. Tore the car apart this past winter for all my mods.

That’s a beautiful color, rare too from what I understand. Can’t wait to get time to do my mods and get it tuned. All the parts in the garage waiting to be installed.

You get to the Good Guys show at the fairgrounds? Great car show and great time too. We’ve had the Firebird there a few years. Missed last year, took it to the Black Hills. Great show there in Deadwood too.

Nice, I see you have Caron fiber gas cap, only option mine does not have. Your thoughts on the amber running lights in the front? In my view they kind of clash with the red car. Did you see my post on putting red ones up front?

The amber doesn't really bother me, but I can see what you mean. I'm trying to keep this car stock and treat it like a collector's car; I got into modding my daily driver and probably overdid it a bit. 350hp GTI... Still gets 32mpg though!

Thank you! I've learned the trick is to wait for "the magic hour" - first hour after sunrise or last before sunset on a nice day.

You might think about getting the dark vinyl covers for your marker lights, very easy to install and remove if you don't like them and easy on the wallet. I added them before I received my Oracle Led's
