you could have bought a car with NPP. if they sold it to you as an option on a car that didn't have it and didnt tell you it cant be made to work they scammed you. call GM corporate.

I should have bought a ZL1

I will take my car to a different Chevy dealership I’ve dealt with in the past to advise me on the npp issue. I haven’t been under the car to know for sure. This dealer will also install my gm cold air intake.

You’re moving too fast. Before any additional parts are installed, whether by the new dealer or the old, you should address the NPP first. If they end up having to put you in a car that has NPP, you don’t want them to also have to swap the GMCAI. Furthermore, the code for the CAI calibration once used can only be used on the same VIN. Get the NPP addressed first since it’s actually an issue and once solved to your satisfaction then have the CAI installed.

If the car doesn’t have factory npp it will never have functioning npp. You need to figure out how to get the car u were supposed to get

Yes. Very true. I didn’t mean to imply installing cai right away. I need to address npp first. I meant, I will deal with my alternate Chevy dealer moving forward.

Have you contacted the Dealership that you purchased the car from about this issue? That is the first thing I would do. Everyone that has posted before me told you the same thing. If they do not resolve the issue then contact GM. There is nothing the other Dealership can do for you. You might want to talk to a Attorney to see if they can get involved if the Dealership does not resolve the issue to you satisfaction.

The dealer claims they told me there is no tune available for the radio. I took that to mean just that. I didn’t think that meant the system wouldn’t work and stays open all the time ( I don’t mind this at all). I thought it would fuction similar to my previous 5th gen were the fuse controls the flaps. The reason for this whole post is for other people not to make the same stupid mistake I made.

I just installed an axle back from SOLO performance out of NY. give them a call they make them for v8 and v6. So im wondering if the originally dealer just installed quad tip exhaust and told you it was the GM NPP exhaust. For the NPP they would have to install the muffler that has the NPP with quad exhaust on it. I believe that would have been upwards of 1500 to install. That would have me believing the dealer was not on the up and up and knew it. The tech that performed the work should know the difference and contacted service manager and explained the issues. I will post up a picture of the factory NPP as I just took mine off. good luck
