This is exactly what I've noticed. It builds pressure (due to heat I suppose) and pushes the fluid out. I lowered the level a little to see if the added air pocket can absorb some of the pressure, and maybe lower it some more if I see it helps. Kinda like coolant reservoirs.

Okay, I got it. Attached are random pictures. I ran the hoses through the driver's side skirt, both fit inside nicely.

Yep, water will undergo thermal expansion when heated as you suggested. With no place for it to go, it will force it’s way out (since liquids are non-compressible). If you leave an inch or so at the top of the tank for expansion, that should allow the tank to function as an old-school hydronic expansion tank, and stop the hydrostatic release through the cap seal.

I've got mine about half full and seems to still leak. It's kinda annoying because it makes a mess and I can't conceal it without making a mess all over that panel. Did you get yours to stop? I was wondering about tapping and putting a fitting in it with an overfill hose type setup??

Mine stopped by keeping the level half way and putting teflon tape on the threads.

very nice... Any install pics of where and how you relocated the 2 electrical components that sit in the trunk wheel. Also did you go for the 6 gal or 25 gal pump.. How did you wire that?
