The cat delete option comes up on the C7 Z06 forum a lot ...Those guys are gaining 20+whp easy by doing a primary cat delete.

But the tune will have to be done to alleviate the sensor and AFR issues.

there have been 3rd party dyno results posted on this forum showing an increase of over 20whp with the rotofab, why do you say CAI won’t increase hp?

As for the cat back, How do you know a 3” cat back won’t give you any significant increase hp? Is it because there are points of greater restriction before the cats, like the exhaust manifolds themselves?
I have done a ported TB, Rotofab, Borla 60606 and an axle back, just haven’t gotten a chance with all the crap weather we’ve been having to re-dyno the car. Here’s a good example of why full exhaust doesn’t really do much other than sound, the majority of the power is in the tune.

Yeah only 14whp in this case, do you know what diameter this Kooks exhaust was?

So that 20whp was with a tune I assume?

I think he meant the diameter of the primaries...2” or 1 7/8”

If that’s the case, i didn’t catch it in the video

The video doesn't state, but generally speaking 99.9% of ZL1 owners in the know will always opt for the 2"...1 7/8 are generally for N/A cars that are going to keep their build tame.
