When you get to using line lock at the track it's actually a really quick process.

I made that video in the A10 but all the same applies in the M6 I have now.

@mlee I didn't realize that was yours, I would have given proper credit if so. Thanks for that vid.

ha ha... no credit needed. Just glad you found it.

It was getting hard to explain it on the forums so I pulled out the video camera to make it easier. Just needed to take the car out of Park...

You're welcome.
Many thanks. A little convoluted, but likely becomes simple after a few times as you said.

I have a m6. The line work works. Did a burnout in my drive way.

Yeah, once you have the menu on line lock it comes right back up... Then at the track you're going to be in track mode anyway so that's already done too.

So the process would be pull up to the staging lanes already in a PTM mode, line lock menu, burnout, and then just press and hold the traction control button to get out of PTM and shut everything off?

That's why I only used line lock a couple of times before ditching it. After going through all the menu stuff to use it, you have to push the TC button to first get back out of PTM, then sit there and hold the TC button for 7 seconds or so to turn everything off. Takes too long.

After finding out about Sport Competitive Mode, which works good at the strip as well, that might be the best way to go if you plan to use line lock, but not launch control or any PTM. Doing this, after the burnout you would press TC, push the mode button once to switch to Sport, then double tap TC to enter Competitive mode. Would only take a couple of seconds instead of nearly 10.

Probably start with MT ET streets.
I have to get the car first. I’ll let you know when it arrives.
