What are your goals? Seriously, don't bother doing the cat delete and tune route. At least go for Headers and a tune (Paired with the TB and Intake).

Though a mild pulley would be a nice bump. If you don't want to worry about heat or fuel, just go with mild pulley such as the 2.3 (9%) upper or 2.4 (4%) upper. Also consider a Kong or Weapon-X ported blower/snout/103mm TB for some good gains with no negative effects (besides cost).

Just looking to maximize the breathing capability and lower exhaust temps.
Would like a solid 600whp or so...

All numbers are approximate but pretty close for a "ZL1 HP Recipe" book. Many shops/people vary on definition of the "Stages". I'm just including them here for simplicity.

Stage 1 - 600 RWHP:
1) 2" Long Tube ARH or Kooks headers with full X pipe
2) Intake
3) TB
4) Tune

Stage 2 - 650 RWHP:
Same as Stage 1 but add a pulley OR ported blower/snout/103mm TB

Stage 3 - 700 RWHP
Same as Stage 2 but includes BOTH pulley AND ported blower/snout/103mm TB
Or you can do Meth or E85 mix to add to the 650 setup which should get you there or close enough.

Stage 4 - 750 RWHP
Same as Stage 3 but add E85/Meth OR Heads/Cam. Or combination. Such as Cam + E85. Any combination of at least two should get you right around 750 wheel.

Stage 5 - 800 RWHP
Max effort. Pulleys, Cooling, Meth, E85, Heads, Cam, Ported to the max, etc.

This is a rough outline.

After selling my T76 built LQ4 Silverado(750whp) i wanted another fun toy

So i picked up this ZL1 from Hendrick in Norfolk.

I plan on doing some simple mods:
Lingenfelter 720 kit

https://www.lingenfelter.com/product...l#.XA2QT-J7mUl
ARH 2" headers+exhaust(stock muffler)

Already put on the Roto-Fab intake and love it.

Any helpful mod tips are definitely welcomed! I need to pickup a MM catch can soon as well.

You may also want to consider a TM ported TB - another easy bolt on. I just picked one up last night, but I haven't had a chance to put it on and test it out yet. It's supposed to rain this weekend, but I'm hoping to sneak the car out at some point.

I have the same Roto Fab on order as well - what differences did you notice after you put it on?

Also interested in the topic. The question is really the order of how to do things. Which mods give the best bang for the buck and can they be put in a sequence? Dollars / HP gained.

Just another thought that came to mind: A Whipple or Magnuson upgrade with headers and tune, maybe good for 700 WHP on a stock fuel setup?

The consensus on the blower upgrades, especially with the Whipple, is that UNTIL and UNLESS you're making the power and spinning them hard enough to get into their efficiency range, the upgrade is not worth it. The Whipple is a 900 RWHP blower. Until it's spun up, there are VERY minimal advantages in heat and power per PSI. Many members were hoping, myself included, that a blower upgrade paired with Headers would be the ultimate sleeper 700+ RWHP setup but it didn't work out like that. You're free to try and there are some builds that have done it but it's generally not a very popular method. By the time most are going 900+ RWHP, a Procharger is usually on the table with a host of fuel mods.

The 2650 is still in testing and that looks seriously promising, much better design and more efficient than the relatively old school Whipple.

No intel on Magnuson but again, until you're into the "big power" range, blower upgrades do not make sense in my opinion.

Catch cans are kind of debatable mod, I am pro catch can. I would recommend that you consider the Elite Engineering catch can. FWIW I think it better serves the purpose on a LT4 of minimizing coking on the intake valve. Very well engineered product. Can be a bit fussy to install, but Elite has responded with some new brackets which make the install easier. Beautiful color by the way!

Oh I already have them... im currently on deployment so im just piecing together all the parts to get me around the 600whp range but be reliable and not overspin/overwork the blower too much.

A set of Headers and E-85 would be good bang for your buck and a good start.
