Try starting in track mode. Hard brakes! Go WOT then wait for rpms to drop and stabilize, then let off brakes. Part of the problem is the SS tires can’t deal with the power adequately. The stock tires on my 1LE do a better job. Moving to wider tires in back will allow you to more effectively handle the power you have. Increasing power with the same tires just means more spin, not more go fast.

You should be able to stay in front of a diesel pick up. I know the modded ones are quick but it takes serious cash to make it Camaro6 quick. Work on your launch a bit. If you are serious about reducing your 60 foot times get a set of drag radials.
IF you are really serious about it and want to add some power give us a call. We have tons of mods you can get into and we always have discounts for board members with code CAMARO6. IMO every Camaro needs a set of long tubes and an intake. If you need installs and dyno tuning we're not to far from you. If all else fails just remember to pass diesels on the driver side or roll your windows up. |
