Yes it is an issue. I recently had a thread on it, along with another member. Both similar symptoms and solves. It makes a huge difference in power

Looks nice. I'd like to see it installed. I'm going to stay completely stock for at least one more winter, to see if I can improve my time before I start adding a few little things that won't void my warranty.

It makes it easy to screw off a cap and fill to the top. Then easily re-check for any air after fluid has circulated. The current check is really hard to tell.
Plus it adds volume to your system. I had a D3 Reservoir on the 5th Gen.. |

It has worked flawlessly! I have the initial kit with the smaller reservoir. It looks factory and I've never encountered an issue with it.

If a catch can can void our warranty... won't this as well?

Technically Yes, but rare to have that actually happen.

The only way it "should" void the warranty would be due to a freeze/thaw failure from someone not using the proper coolant in the winter, corrosion for the same reason, leaks in and around the tank and hoses you installed, and possibly any damage that might occur if the system was believed to have been ran dry. So that could be anything related to the supercharger and the intercooler system. So while it is possible the dealer may void the warranty, it is highly unlikely anything would go wrong with the system to cause you any issues. I would definitely speak to your service manager before doing any kind of mod, if keeping your warranty is important to you.
