Oh, just a typo, the brake fluid you probably used is ATE Typ 200. ATE is a big-name brake manufacturer for many OEMs.

Tire clag can take a while to wear/grind off. Very often after doing a weekend, my drive home is ~150 miles and I still have clag left on the tires. The more aggressive you are the quicker it wears off, of course, but driving easy w/cruise control means it'll take a while. Also to echo Gurkha, clag very often gets in the wheel barrel and all throughout the wheel-well housing. A good cleaning after every track day is smart practice to ensure everything is A-OK.
Thanks!

Ill check the inner rim for "Tire clag". Ill be using this term from now on(sounds better than "bumpiness").

Yes, it was ATE. I was trying to remember when I wrote the OP. A forum member recommended it and it worked great for me. The difference in price from the Castrol was significant $17 vs $60 per liter. I did the brake fluid change myself (first time) and didn't want to blow $60. So I bought 2 liters of the ATE 200 just in case I botched it. But fortunately it went well the first time.

I found the Nitto 555 G2 in the following sizes (305/30/20 and 285/30/20). Those were the same sizes of the OE goodyears.

I removed the water guard underneath the hood (I think I read it in the manual). But I didn't know about the tire damns and heat extractor? Where are they?

As far as track insurance, I skipped it. It was about $400+ from Haggarty with a 15% deductible (about $9-10K).
I have yet to track mine and Track Insurance is one of the reasons. The cost to track is very high with the track fees and insurance and such.

I am wondering how many people get track insurance or skip it and take a chance?

I buy insurance. It runs ~$350-$400 and is for the entire event. If you are running a 3 day event, it costs the same as a 1/2 event. Yes, it is $$$, but you are driving a fairly expensive car. Walls happen.

What are the deductibles you are seeing?
Hagerty was 15%
I would have to cover the first $9-10k of damage.
I guess a major crash against a wall would be a total loss. But I was at a somewhat forgiving track with lots of grass at the PBIR.
I’ve heard Homestead and Sebring have some pretty scary walls. Maybe there I would go for it.

That's a great question about track insurance, in terms of who's paying what. Maybe we could get someones attention from the forum and provide more of bulk forum discount.

I'll start a thread about it later this evening. If someone jumps on it before me great.

They vary with the costs. Some are 15% deductible and others are 10%. Some will allow for a second driver at no additional costs (two people running the same car at the same event).

I have used the two above at several different events (PCA, HOD, NASA).

Last year Al Copeland, Jr put his GT3 RS into a wall at NOLA Motorsports Park. The wall he hit was across 300'-400' of open grass. High speeds, wet or slick grass and walls happen.

The only hazard at Sebring is turn 1. Everywhere else plenty of runoff room.

Put in track mode, then hit the TM button twice, cycle the menu for the setting you want

Here's another one that goes in to Line Lock but you have to go through PTM modes first so would also have the info you're looking for.

If you can't afford to light your car on fire and walk away, you need track insurance. It's not just walls you have to worry about, it's also other drivers, mechanical failures, debris, weather, etc. Also, some track insurance will cover damages to the track if you cause any. I always do 10% deductible through RLI and make sure I claim enough to cover the whole car after deductible in case it's totaled. Event coverage is usually around $350, unless it's a SCCA event, which usually has discounts.
