I work through my phone so the joy in discovering the BT mic sucked balls in my 16 RS could only be only matched by a whole day with my ex and her mother after a 4 hour dentist appointment but before a prostate exam. I turned it in to warranty. Chevy's answer.. Put a piece of foam behind the microphone......?????!!!!!!!?!?!?!?
This. Did. Nothing, and that was all they could do.

Don't get me wrong, I Love my car. (Lifetime Ford man converted by the 16 body lines and Ford's inability to bring anything to the table worth ownng). Let me point to the Bowtie badged elephant in the passenger seat, people tested and road in this car before mass producing it? No One made a call? No One caught this? At the very least, can't we see a factory mic relocation kit?!?!?!?! I didn't think much of it, but over time it has been an issue.

While we're here, let's go ahead and add...... What is the Kilcher to give us one blank flat spot on a dash for a phone mount? I honestly laughed to myself when I got one and sat in my car for about 10 to 15 minutes trying to figure out where I can suction cup it down two without leaving a mark in the soft Dash because there were no hard - phases flat enough or big enough for it to seal two. Way to go Chevy, how you hired the only Millennials to test drive your cars and not report these problems, I will never know.

Fingers crossed they Fix-It in newer versions but till then I just tell people to wait till I get there or go speakerphone.

There has got to be a way to fix it. Maybe its a bad batch of microphones?

Does it just suck or is there something wrong with my radio?
My car play works so well on my 2018 I've never used the blue tooth.

Annoying! Mine doesn’t work very well either way.

Probably the mic, as others have said.
I would download a Bluetooth meter app and check the signal strength as well. There is free app for android. Not sure about apple.

There's been quite a few posts about the blue tooth mic in the audio section. Some folks rattled enough cages and theirs fixed/replaced

I believe it took calling higher up the food chain in general motors to do so

Is there any way to turn off that annoying notification chime every time you turn the car on? I just expect it to be working and on, don't need a notification and chime telling me so.

My Bluetooth works fine...all the time...whether using Android Auto or CarPlay or not. This is an issue with the mic on your specific car.

Yeah it is definitely a problem with your car not a general issue with everyone else's. Go get it looked at under warranty, that is what the warranty is for.

Won’t lie, I usually google this stuff. But I didn’t feel like spending the time to look for it. Thanks for the input though, I’m going to hassle the dealership, they owe me anyways.

same problem here with disconnecting but android auto works well and no mic issues here..maybe its my older lg g3 phone..should try another phone and see what happens..maybe bluetooth version software is older on my phone?
