Very interesting poll. It appears I'm part of the biggest group. Yay us.

14. Hate the the bar on the SS grille is black and I wish that the Flowtie was in the upper grille. The Hood vent should be finished in gloss black or body color, which may be an option anyway. The LT convertible’s design is unbalanced, and that’s sugar coating it. However, the 2.0T 1LE looks better than the 2018 LT 1LE. By January, 75% will like the refresh. That’s how it was with the C7 introduction and the 2018 Mustang refresh. Hang in there guys, Just two more years until Gen 7.

4 cylinder 1LE looks better than the SS but NONE OF THEM loook good. As of this post its currently 101 dislikes to 29 likes! Thank god the car still performs well if you got this shitty of a design with bottom of the barrel performance it would be and even larger flop!

The reason I posted this poll is because I was curious to see if the design language resonated more positively with a certain age group.

In respect to going straight to "like" or "don't" like, I specifically chose to do that. I didn't want to have 3-times the questions. Also, in my eyes, if a good design is "a good design", it should not need much time to sink it - it should just speak to people. I can understand certain elements of a design being "uncomfortable", but a "good design" should still yield a positive, emotional feeling in someone even with that. If it takes time to realize a design is good and develop any sort of positive feeling with it, I interpret that into people just talking themselves into it.

When I first saw the 6th Gen Camaro, before the reveal, I was sure Chevy was not going to deliver for me. When I saw it, I immediately liked it. The rear of the car bothered me a bit, but I was able to accept it later on. However, 90%+ of the car, I instantly was drew to. This car, the 6.5Gen, I instantly had a bad feeling about and felt drawn away from it. I can keep looking at it and "warm up to it", but I will never accept it as "a good design".

The 6.5Gen Mustang, I had mixed feelings. It was mostly because the front end. But I wasn't drawn away from the car. After looking at the car in various angles, I realized it was just because of the lower grill portion looked bland. Again, it was an (1) element of the car. Not the whole car. This case is nearly the whole car - the entire front fascia, the tail lights and the rear fascia is not that great either...

Same here, the lower models look better, but I need the V8

30 and I think GM messed up on this one. Took the aggressive look right out of it. Front looking like a Dodge Dart

Asked my daughters about the refresh out of curiosity, and their jaws dropped... their comments were "what in the world is this" and "oh, they wrecked the Camaro". So much for trying to pander to the young female population

Not being forum members they can't vote in the sub-20 category, but I believe that would be two firm no's.

I was the same way. A year ago I started to look for my next car. I initially started with the Mazda 3 and Nissan 370Z. Actually I looked at a lot of different makes/models. The intent was to get something for a few years and maybe pass it off to the kids as a learner vehicle. Then I thought, let me see how much a used 2014 Camaro 2SS is, which led me to the 2015 then to the 2016. When I saw the 2016 I could not believe it, it was darn near perfect in my eyes. Then I read reviews and I was sold! I say all of that to say this....when I saw the refresh I sat back and tried to like it. I couldn't, the front end isn't terrible but could have been done better. The rear lights...well I would have to see those in person but I dont like the lines which integrate into the bumper. I do agree with you that you either like it initially or dont.

Upper 40's here.

I don't think they made any changes to the ZL1 & have no real dog in the 2019 fight...however, if I wanted any other model looking to buy?? It would be an 18.

166 hate it, 41 like it.

Very happy I got a '17 when I could. This update sucks.

Age 48 here. The turbo and V6 I think are okay, but the SS with the “flow-tie” placement is an epic fail for me. And I’m only happy to have a V8 in any Camaro I own. Also, at least in pictures, the front on all of them lost the aggressive appearance that I prefer. I like the hood on all of them, so good job there. The taillights, meh, still on the fence. All that being said, for me the “flow-tie” on the SS (in the bumper of all places), must be relocated to the upper grille. If I should ever have to replace my ‘17:

1) only if a new ZL1, or
2) a used ‘17-‘18 SS 1LE, ZL1, or ZL1 1LE.

Exactly! Much, much better with the bowtie in the upper portion of the front end.
