I replaced mine. It's pretty easy to swap out. The new one comes nicely painted. I had it wrapped in PPF and ceramic coated before I put it on.

Does the front bumper need to be removed to install?

Nope. I just put the front of the car on ramps, take the under tray off and all the bolts holding the splitter on. then you can get behind the bumper to pop the clips holding the splitter on.

Yep...the screen is on the grille, and can be removed...but since I have the Weapon-X HX my grille screen is intact!lol

Anderson has a stock ZL1 splitter....to do like mine you need the ZL1LE grille and splitter. They fit together as a pair!
