I think a '16 SS value sits right where your limit is OP. '17 low mile 1LE's are going for $33K. A '16 SS should sit just below that IMHO. $31K is very reasonable for both parties I think.

20 dollars according to my dealer on a trade in. Guess I'm waiting for the ZL1 now. LOL

So if we all agree that $31k-$33k is a reasonable price then why are there also a lot of offers much higher than that? Do people expect haggling and that's why?

There are hundreds of different package combos, miles, previous history, location in the country, and so on... A one owner car traded back into the dealer with all the maintenance done there is going to demand a higher asking price over a auction ex Hertz car with no floor mats, door dings, no name tires, and 30k miles.

The 1SS convertible(still very nice cars) have unfortunately tanked in value due to the fleet rental market.

Compared to natiowide search of used 2SS's from cars.com filtered from lowest price:

You are right about the rental car fleet bringing the price down. I picked up my 17 1SS Vert for 26,250. Had under 20k miles. Miles do not bother me when you have a somewhat of a reliable car.

Probably wiggle room with dealerships. If it's an individual, its often because they paid X amount for it brand new and still think its worth X amount now (hurts to take that killer depreciation hit when selling of a car bought brand new).

Within 500 miles of me (atlanta ga) a 2SS coupe averages $32k per an autotrader search.
