Sound deadening material as well? I like the idea of that, its just that they're in close proximity to those four sandblasters on each corner.

You laugh, but it's not far off from a legit solution. I say replace them with folded sheetmetal. You HVAC guys know what I'm talkin about. Coat it to reduce the snare-drum noise.

Looking at that pic, man did they take room out of the car, you have to wary that you may brake the headlight.

I wonder if this has to do with a dirty track + the R7's?

You guys watch too much TV But you NAILED IT!

I bought Flex Seal to coat them. The Herculiner and Line-X stuff - if you have used it for anything personally - is pretty toxic.

So, bought a quart of Flex Seal yesterday after work, planning to give it a go sometime yet this week. I'll post up some pics, etc. on how it went.

And - yes - maybe it will float!

Sean - exactly. Got into some "marbles" going off-line to pass at Road Atlanta a few times. I'm guessing that is where most of it happened. The R7's grab anything and everything.

I'll see if the Flex Seal sticks and I can get it thick enough to protect the fabric.

Yep.

84204436 Driver

84320385 Passenger

22907457 Replacement cover on the back of the Driver side Headlight

Looks like the fender liners are around $80....so not bad.....

Seems pretty dumb that those don't have a very hard plastic or similar product lining the fenders behind the "felt". Some call it "carpet" but it's definitely more along the lines of kids crafting felt it does appear.

Agreed. In fact....I got a real kick out of the description on my service invoice typed in by the service advisor (good young kid, sets up all my service on my Camaro's and there is only one tech there that I trust that he lines up to do all the work), he typed in:

"Poor design. Poor Material Choice."

If this set doesn't hold up with some Flex Seal painted on them - I'll get another replacement set and coat them completely with Herculiner BEFORE they are installed. Just hoping to avoid using that stuff with them already installed on the car.
