Would have gone with M6 instead of A8

Ah, the MRC also. 2SS, NPP, MRC.

Bought my 2017 1SS in late November of 2016. I was going to order ,as I did not want the sun roof and everything locally had the roof option. Gave the salesmen two color options silver or hyper blue. Exactly what I wanted in HBM popped up 200 miles away...so they did a Dealer trade and I had my car in a week.

1SS, A8, NPP, HBM and little else on the option list.

With 12K on the odometer it has been FLAWLESS up to this point...ZERO issues.

YES I'd do it again. Either color.

2SS Fifty pkg, MRC, NPP, M6, no sunroof.
Would do this again but negotiate for all-season non-run-flats installed at time of purchase. Now I have two sets of wheels with a high wall-mounted tire rack and fancy winch system in my garage. While that was a fun challenge to install, I would skip it given a 2nd go-around and ask for all-seasons.

If ZL-1 was offered with a decent sound system upgrade, and even if you had to get the A10, I would have paid $30k more JUST TO GET A DECENT STEREO! Sadly, not an option, so a 2SS is my daily driver.

I bought my stripper 1SS in early 2016 at decent discount at the time. I had planed to just make the car my own with upgrades I wanted, turns out 1LE was all I wanted. Fast forward almost 2 years found a great buy on 1LE and I rather skipped the 1SS and just waited for 1LE when they had big discounts. I keep thinking I want a head/cam car but I'm really just happy with the 1LE as it is. For now.

I love my car the way it came. When warranty is up, i'll do full bolt ons and call it a day. Then when I get tired of that, i'll go to a vette.

Funny because I went the other way and traded in a 16 Z06 M7 for my 17 ZL1 A10 vert, love this car especially with the A10, no regrets! I hated my M7 during traffic times and it wasn't my DD! If the new ZL1 hadn't come with the A10, i probably would have bought a used 911 that I had been eyeing.

But honestly, have had no issues with my A8... and it's a very small percentage that have had issues with the A8 (always sounds worse on Internet forums than it is on the whole, have learned this after 20yrs of participating on various forums). As for the A10, I can't imagine all the shifts. And would love to have the M6 IF i didn't drive in so much traffic - been there, done that!

While the HP of the ZL1 was tempting, a supercharged Camaro was not for me - great for the guys that like it, but for me I want a NA motor in an American sports/muscle car. I'll mod if/when I decide I "need" more power. I'm 46 & have been a Camaro fan since I was 7-8yrs old, so I thought about buying one since the 5th gens came out - even rented one for a weekend, but wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. So waited a few years and thought about buying a used one to mod. But then drove a 6th gen and it was all over but the paperwork! Haha
Hey RCF - If we have another meet up here in Katy or if you ever want to just take a cruise, be happy to show you how the A10 performs. I thought the same thing about the amount of gears changing until I drove it and now have a better understanding how it improves the overall performance of the engine power band.
The A10 is also so lighting quick on downshifts, almost like it's reading my mind!

So far the only regrets are the stupid sun visors on how they "don't" function and I do wish they could have figured out how to install a PDR system in a vert with front cameras of the newer vetts!

I always somewhat regret not getting the M6 in the back of my mind. I had a blast driving it when I test drove one with it. But then I get stuck in rush hour gridlock and I am glad I got the A8.

But if I do get a second car and the Camaro moves to weekend toy duty, then yeah definitely wished I would have gotten the stick. But as a daily, no regrets getting the auto.

One thing I realized, reading these, is that I should have gotten the MRC in the 2016. The 1LE feels so much more planted, whereas the 2SS without it feels like a boat.

Wouldn't have gotten the A8. Maybe the refresh will have an A10 and port/direct injection. Might have to get that.

Wouldn't of special ordered mine in Dec 15 paid on it for 6 months without owning it was finally delivered in June and then in September of 16 GM offered 20% off MSRP sale. Would of saved 10k which is almost the same amount I am upside down on 2 years later.. Sad very sad.

Zl1 or Zl1 1le (which wouldn't have been much more than I paid for my fully loaded 2ss). But, what I got was the best 6th Gen trim available at the time and I did need a new ride badly. So I don't hate myself for it.

Nothing different. I researched for nearly a year before buying so I got what I wanted.
