yes i wipe it down every time before i put the car cover back on the car and wash the car cover before re covering it back up also but the first time i took it off we had really bad winds and dust and it even got under neath the car cover also even with a lock and windstraps to keep it in place

I store mine uncovered in my garage. Don't see the need to cover it. Just have to wash it to get the dust off.
