If I were you I would unplug them and see what happens. Your ECM and BCM are still programmed as a manual so that AFM hardware should not be functioning

Yep thats what i am going to do as soon as i get the car home. I wonder if other m6 cars still have the wired connectors from a shared wiring harness but are just tucked away since there arent any valves to connect them to.

I would definitely try to unplug them and see what happens. You simply shouldn't have those valves. I'm wondering if the previous owner had the exhaust valve rattle and they replaced it with an A8 exhaust. They were doing that at first bc they replaced mine for the rattle and then it came right back. There were no signs of it being replaced either. But how would they plug them in if that was the case!

Oh yeah i could see that being a possibility. Ive not experienced the rattle with my npp though i dont use it either having pulled the fuse. If that was the case though, only way they can plig them in is if all cars have a,common wiring harness and the connectors are just tied off somewhere on the m6 cars i guess.

So unplugged and let it run for 10 min in the garage. No codes. Im going to leave them unplugged and just bag and ziptie the connectors out of the way and drive it around. If codes do come later ill mention it on this thread for everyones knowledge. Thank you to everyone who provided assistance or even questioned the validity of this. Its things like this that expand our knowledge base on these cars. Hopefully if some other poor bastard besides me runs into this, they should be able to do a search and have this insightful thread pop up to help them

It was a Sep 2015 build. As discussed earlier in this thread, thinking either the factory oopsed or it was taken in at some point maybe for whatever reason and the dealer put an a8 back section on it by mistake. I have put a few hundred miles on it without them plugged in and no codes. so even though they plugged it in the system wasn't monitoring them thankfully.

Your BCM does not switch them so it bypasses them. No real effect with them just sitting there.
