I dont have the Pfadt lowering springs/sways on my 2010 but do have the Petes old company brands, and the 1le sways as well, i can say that with that set up my 2010 and the new ZL1 1LE are with in 10% as far as stiffness and ride go, and the 2010 is lowered almost to the limits.

Thanks for the reply! Just helps confirm which way I am going and our roads are in pretty decent shape. The mods I did to my 2010 were definitely noticeable, but I really liked the additional feedback.

I picked mine up about a month ago and drove it from Charlotte to Florida (750) miles for the first time. Although I knew what I was getting into, after a few hundred miles, I couldn't wait to get out of it. I still have my 2012 ZL1 and it is much smoother but I did not take the plunge for a daily driver. I took it because I love the fact that there are so few of them around and I dont drive it more than once or twice a week. I will have a few track days with it, but didnt buy it to run the track too often. Been there done that. I dont regret my decision at all. Love the car. Wish someone could tell me the majic way to remove the exhaust flap fuse without getting an engine lite to come on??

I had a 13 Zl1 with pfadt lowing springs that i daily drove and tracked often. When I bought the ZL1 1LE and drove it home on a concrete highway my first thought was OMG what did i get my self into. I felt everything! My next thought was my wife (who loves to drive our sports cars) is going to kill me. One of the things i liked about the 13 was how good it could perform at the track and how good it performed on the street.

I also drove a 15 Z28 Many times and to me the ride on it was close to my lowered ZL1 in track mode.

I have now put 450 miles on the car and to my supersize my wife doesn't mind the ride. We dropped the air pressure down to 30psi (it was 38 when i picked it up) this did help allot.

While the stiffness is a shock when you drive it for the first time you do get use to it. I still cringe when i need to get on a concrete highway but i know its the small price i have to pay to get the performance that i what when at the track. (Can't wait to get this to the track)

This car is a lot stiffer than the 13 ZL1 lowered in track mode.

I have about 2600 miles so far. I think it rides slightly better now than when it was brand new. It could also be that I am used to it. Winding out fourth gear on track made me permanently stop caring about how it rides.

Have a 14 ZL1 and a 18 ZL1 driving both in the same day is quite interesting! Stiffness is obviously noticeable but that is overpowered by the joy of rev matching and handling. I would describe road changes, pot holes, and dips as a comfortable jolt. it doesn't shake your bones out but it is a controlled comfortable rough in my opinion. Wouldn't trade it for the world though.

just picked up a zl1 1le last night and had to drive it 6 1/2 hours home and to be honest it wasnt that bad. its stiff but not unbearable

I got a lot of mixed reviews on here and in my pms, at the end of the day how bad is it if the car isn’t being driven everyday was my thought

Driving a 17 zl1 is smooth very comfortable driving a 78 z28 setup for the track not very comfortable... although I kinda miss that in the new car. Before I bought it that was totally how I figured it would feel. Apparently from all the comments the zl1 1le is a bit more like that. Personally all that wouldn’t bother me driving it, it would bother me more feeling like I’m rattling the car to pieces

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW RIDE. I HAVE HAD MINE NOW FOR 1100 MILES, 750 OF WHICH WAS ON THE INTERSTATE getting from the dealer to home. Taking the air pressure to 29 or 30 psi does help a bit.

Love the PDR but need a good track day to really see how much fun that could be to watch. Got to learn how to pull it out of the car and into a mac to see it?

It's really easy - simple as pulling SD card out of the car, putting it into the computer, then opening the files as videos. Just bear in mind Macs don't seem to like the encoding, Quicktime won't play sound - so I use VLC player.

Also - there is a function within the PDR to actually watch the videos in the car after recording is over.

silver, I ordered our car 7/10/17...built on 10/30/17...arrived at the dealership on 12/5/17 just in time for the weather to go to hell! I did get there before they salted the roadways though.
Anyway, I drove it to the detailer 29 miles away, very brief trip, a few things I noticed.

-The tires at 26 degrees with wet roads are very unstable, but we already knew this.

-The ride is firm, but not annoying at all, I liked it and I'm 56 years young.

-Seating is great, the Recaro seats do a great job of keeping you planted.

-The look & sound of this car, for some bizare reason, doesn't translate well until you see and hear it in person, instant wood!

-Entry & exit, its a little awkward but doable, also I'm just average size at 5'11''/205 and when I tried sticking my head out the window, my chin was on the door and the top of my head just rubbed the roof.

-One last note, the delivery process is slow, I've heard they were shipping these on railcars, but they were having to much damage, so now it trucking only.

Easy Solution: Buy the ZL1 and add the Wing, Dive Plates, etc. Now you have the ride comfort and the aero package. Problem solved.
