Not everyone likes the popping from their exhaust. I, for one, vehemently dislike it.

To accentuate the popping on deceleration, long tube headers (the larger primary diameter the better), high flow catalytic converters or cat deletes, with some sort of straight through designed muffler or none at all, will suffice from an exhaust point of view. The rest of it is down to the tune. The popping largely comes from fuel starvation during deceleration. You could emphasize to your tuner that you want it to pop obnoxiously and I’m sure they could accommodate your request.

Will putting cats on reduce the popping sound? I heard a M235i the other day in the shopping center and the amount of pops and cracks was ridiculous to the point it sounded like shit. The guy also had euro plates under his normal plates lmao.

I love the sounds and seemed to get a bit more out of it when i deleted the 2nd cats. Feels like just the right amount of popping, gurgling compared to other imported brands ive seen out there which a number of them sound like pure shit.... I'm one of the few as well that needs this sound in my life LOL
