That go cart thing is called a "Radical" and they had a booth for rides and rentals. Crazy fast because of the power to weight ratio.

I was in the same run group. Here is a video I with the ZL1:

Great day at the track!

It was my first time at VIR, and one of only a hand full of Gen5 Camaros.

Corvettes seemed to be everywhere!

Friday was interesting once they opened up the full Grand track. Lots of blind corners to learn quickly.

ZL1 Track Video

Sorry, Stephen12ZL1 told me I had the wrong car in the video.

I went through some of my raw GoPro footage, and found the correct 888 ZL1.

I have a video with you Btrbimmer. You left me so fast that it is of almost no value. A speck that used to be your car happens in about 5 seconds...LOL! Grand Course is so different I need more track time to gain a few seconds. My fastest lap was only 3:04. At first my laps were as slow as 3:15-3:17...yuck!

I'd like to have someone follow me around the track and get video footage from that perspective. It would be very helpful to analyze my line.

I agree about the Grand course. It was clear that many drivers had not driven that section of the track before. The infield section is very technical, with several blind corners, so you need to be quite familiar to drive it well. In some cases, you need to initiate turn in way before you can see the apex.

For reference, here is the configuration for anyone that is not familiar:

I had never been to VIR before, so I had to learn the course on Thursday, then learn it again on Friday. It was a great event, but I'm sure I left lots on the table regarding laptimes. Also, my stock LS3 felt a bit under powered compared to the very fast company of ZL1s and Z06s that attend that event. Your car was clearly much faster in the straights......I felt like a Miata out there.

Wow...the only place I saw your line wander was at the top of Roller Coaster (T20) in that pic where you were way track left. Otherwise, you were really good for no time at VIR. You are very fast for sure!!
