We made a few small changes to our mounting locations to accommodate the variation between the 2017 and 2018. We are still in the test fitting
process, but you can call Jennifer in our office at (260) 375-4480. Just tell her you need a 2018 ZL1 air box with the updated locations and we will make sure you are taken care of!

Thanks for your interest. If you have any more questions, I would be glad to help!

What's the variation? I didn't think there were any design changes between the '17 and '18 model years.

Nothing major was changed. The difference is so subtle that after the air box changes are made, the same unit will fit the 2017 and 2018.

does this mean kit I got (instructions say 2016-2017) won't fit on my 2018 which will arrive in a month? Could you share what was changed so maybe those can be done by myself instead of going through fuss of shipping unit back overseas to USA...

Is there any issue with the car getting too lean on fuel with the CAI and ported throttle body installed.
Does the stock tune compensate for the increase in air by adding fuel ?

Probably not an issue at normal cruise conditions but could be at WOT.

thanks

Nah, they run so rich from the factory. I still get sooty outer pipes after a couple of runs, and have a sooty car butt after about a week or so before I wash it.

It's due to the fact that neither roto fab nor any of their authorized dealers with ship the intake to California. Nor will they ship it out of state if you pay with a credit card whose billing address is in California.

But, there's more than one way to skin a cat 😉

inspection, i think the rule is it has to be a closed airbox maybe. but vendors have to get a CARB cert, and i'm sure its a pain in the ass
