I did Eibach springs. Took a while for them to settle in but it's all good in my opionion. The handling feel the same if not a better. I take my car around some mountain here and there and handle like a dream still. It'll see more drag strips than road courses(if). Yes I bought the 1LE knowing what it was designed!

Not to get off topic but damn, yellow is hot. One of the few cars I could see myself driving in that color.

I was supposed to buy a Hyper blue 1LE, but when I went to the dealership I saw a yellow birdie in the back. I never was a yellow person but I loved that car when I saw it!

Well, to answer your question...........I'm turning 70 and have always been a high performance car/motorcycle guy. Although I don't plan on tracking the car or pushing it to the limit, I do drive in a sporting manner and I appreciate and enjoy driving a car with great handling and performance characteristics. Although the SS has excellent suspension, I knew that the 1LE package would be a whole different ball game. And it is.

Who knows? Maybe a track day is in my future.

The BMR springs will be fine I just installed mine this weekend. The springs rates are pretty much identical to stock, the front is the same at 178 and the rear is slightly stiffer around 640 give or take a couple, I forgot to write it down. I called BMR prior to install to get spring rates and they said that they kept the rates as close to stock as possible to avoid affecting the MRC. As of now it's been 4 days and there hasn't been any drop at all and from what I've read it takes a couple of weeks and a few hundred miles to settle. In the end you'll end up with 1" drop in the rear and .75" in the front. check out RPProductions on youtube he has a 1LE on BMR springs. Also if you're planning on tracking the car the lowering springs will help get a little more negative camber.

I'm getting my track alignment tomorrow afternoon I'll post the results if you'd like.

Have they posted the spring rates anywhere and are they linear? Do they have different spring sets for standard SS vs 1LE?

The spring rates aren't posted anywhere that I know of I looked forever and got fed up and called. Not sure on the SS vs 1LE I didn't look for anything related to the standard SS.

Yes the spring rate is linear

Good info thanks. I wonder why they don't publish the rates?

No problem. I have no idea it doesn't make sense to me why they wouldn't you'd think it would be listed in the product description.

Good info. That's what I was looking for. Yeah, RP and I have messaged back and forth on IG. Were both in Houston so I am going to look at his car on Saturday. Thanks for the info

Wanted to provide an update. I received further information from BMR and they said the lack of drop initially is due to the bushings not being reclocked and that the factory rubber bushings can hold the car up. I'll be getting the bushings reclocked/alignment this afternoon and will post before and after pics.

The pics didn't come out in the order I put them in and the text didn't show up below is a snapshot.

Pic 1: Wheel gap after bushings reclocked
Pic 2: Springs installed but bushings not reclocked
Pic 3: Wheel gap before bushings were reclocked
Pic 4: Springs installed/bushings reclocked.

It's a subtle difference but noticeable.
