Actually you can just touch one of the paddles and it will show the gear too. I've accidentally hit them trying to adjust the radio.

Just curious why anyone cares what gear the car is in if you're in D. The car is selecting what gear it needs to be in given a set of variables. That's all I need to know. Even on the track I really don't care if I'm running in D what gear the car is in. In fact it's far less to distract me from actually driving. The good thing is that in the PDR it does track the gear you're in and displays it on the video. That's really the only time I need to know so that if I chose to run in manual mode I have an idea what gear I should be in at what point on the track.

Exactly why it is what it is.

In this world of digital displays, it would be cool to have the option to see the gear display. Not world ending, but I appreciated it in my Hellcat.

Yeah it's kinda weird that it doesn't show the gear you are in. I have a Vette with the 8 speed and it shows what gear you are in even in Drive on the HUD.

I have also learned that my Camaro's will put the windows down by holding the unlock button on the FOB after it's been pushed twice but the Vette will not.
