If a dealer is getting an allocation would they know today or later in the next week or so?

IMO the # needs to be less then 750 a year, 500 is the #, there are not a lot of People that will buy a 70K+ Camaro, it needs to have 1000HP for a lot of buyers to buy this car, what we hear when we tell people camaro 70K, all they want to know is how much HP car has.

I just hope these ZL1 1LEs don't suffer the same fate as the Z/28s....ADM'd and overpriced and......unsold. This announced limited production doesn't seem to be in the customer's favor....If they let ADMs and limited availability kill off the initial interest and enthusiasm, that would be a shame... Again, we'll see...I hope they sell like hot cakes and get more drivers to the track...."It's still a Chevy..."...Remember that phrase? |

750 is exactly the same number I forecast for all of 2017 ZL1 model year production. I can't see them selling 750 units of this model. Just my two cents. Lots of people say they will buy it and never pull the trigger. We shall see.

how can you allocate a car that it's trim package for the 1LE is an option. Plus i think 750 is an extemely low number. I think chevy will increase that number once they start selling a lot more units than they originally planned.

I guess via constraints.

Yes, via constraints. I bought a 2014 Stingray Z51 in 2014. But they were pretty hard to get because they were somewhat limited through constraints and demand was crazy.

I think the Z/28 is a bad example to make your point. Don't you remember them sitting around collecting dust at many dealers? Some eventually sold for $20k off sticker. Hopefully 750 isn't too low but it think most want the regular Z28 so i may be a safe number.

The constraint was short lived, production increased and all demands were met. |

IMO here is why the limited works, most people want a soft ride, this is not that car, like some have said you will feel every crack on the road, and that means most buyers will trade it in with low Mi after a year or 2, and get the next hot car, Track guys will not, they will drive the piss out of it and that is what this car is meant for, and one more thing, by the time the car makes it out it will be the end off summer so i think sales will start slow to all but dye hard Camaro owners.
I hope this car sells, want to see lots of them at the track. |

I think most who are interested were hoping to simply add on option to check off at time of purchase....Now we will just get what they want to offer at an unknown price. |
