Well it happened so either I was imagining it several times to the point of changing gauges to verify or I don't know I guess I'm making it up. . I've only owned a half dozen boosted cars... Own a small performance shop here in MN...
The only big difference was the temp was 40* when I saw 9psi and 70 when I dynoed. You tell me what happened.

I'm running the 3.7 and getting 7.6-8psi currently. I do however have port and polished heads, headers, single high flow cat, 3" exhaust back to factory NPP with an FI cut cam. I can tell you when it first hit rollers it was 74* outside and we were getting 7.6-7.8 psi. When we wrapped it up yesterday some rain was trying to roll in. Temps got down to 66* with some humidity to it. The car then made 8-8.2psi. This was read with the updated 2bar MAP sensor and the baro separated out instead of together like the car comes from GM.

Cold air = Dense air

Same with water...thus why boats go faster on lakes near freezing. (that and the motors make more power on dense air)
There is a little more to it with water due to changes in viscosity and friction, but still same factors in general.
