I've bought stuff from Mark at 6LE Designs before. He is a completely honorable guy, who would never try to price-gouge his customers. He has earned my respect, and if I could spend $850 (or even $950) without sleeping on the couch indefinitely, I'd be first in line for one of these hoods!!! Kick-@$$ Hood, Kick-@$$ Quality, and more than FAIR pricing, from a KICK-@$$ guy!!!

Hi guys, what's happening with my order. I paced my order in June. I am still waiting and haven't received a tracking number. I was told it takes 4-6 weeks and it's been two to three times longer than that and I'm starting to lose patience. I have been emailing you guys and getting nowhere. I want to talk to someone on the phone but can't seem to find your number anywhere. I need a number to get this resolved asap.

I don't know the 6le guys at all and I have never bought anything from them. So I post this with 100% non bias post. This is for the people who don't support them not the people like the guy waiting on product.
I don't understand the need to try to call someone out on the forums. I watch it happen all the time. I have been watching the hood for awhile now and everything he said is the truth. I feel sorry business owners because we live in a world of everyone wants a discount. If you think it's to high or you don't want to buy let's try not to get on here and call someone out for what they are doing. I for the life of me don't understand why guys get on here and bash or be negative about something that honestly does not involve you if you have not done business with them or don't have anything positive to say then why get on here and be negative about it. I am sorry I just don't understand. I want the hood would love to buy it but unfortunately I messed up my hip and having a replacement so missing 4 months of work is keeping me from getting it. I wish you the best of luck 6le just keep doing you and don't let the negative Nancy's get you down. Rant over. |

Hey Mark, I have emailed you and called you multiple times but I am not getting any answers. What's going on? Please give me an update. If you are having problems with clearing the package just ship it and give me tracking number and I'll clear it myself.

I have never purchased from 6LE either but his responses in this forum post specifically are not very customer friendly oriented. 1.) He gets defensive right away 2.) He immediately attacks other companies products 3.) Has no patience with simple custom misinterpretation of pricing Disclaimer ( Text does not justify words and this is how I interpreted what he typed ) If this is how he meant it or not this is how it came across in a text post I would not want to deal with that kind of attitude over basic questions. In the retail world you need to assume 100% of your customers have no clue what they are talking about you start off with the basics in a friendly demeanor inform them and have patience if they then tell you what they already know you can step into more technical aspects. Pretty easy to see what happened... People go to site they see price they do not see shipping until you are at checkout so people see 850 and just think 850 they don't even remotely think $200 for shipping -- its a very uninformed market. So when there is a "sale" For 950 with $1 shipping its just confusing for some but you need to assume its confusing for all.. good example : I do buy 4 get 1 free promos all the time - People buy 4 then message me why they didnt get one of those 4 for free.. I get accused sworn at yelled at etc... all the time.. I kindly explain I understand their confusion and then give them a friendly example of how they needed to buy 5 items... I then offer a solution and all is said and done. Customer service 101 : Done

Sorry I was in a bad reception/wifi area after the storm but just sent you an email. I screwed up and had you confused with a Canada order from 3 days prior. We can ship this Wednesday if you still want it, if not let me know and I'll refund.

^^That's how you may choose to do business but after 9 years of being in business I like to weed out the people you speak of (that don't pay attention to what you wrote then want to call and gripe you out over their mistake). Life is short and I only make parts for these cars because I want to and enjoy it (my actual income comes from Acting and Writing, IMDB me if you want Mark DeLisle). I'm not looking to take a dollar out of everyone's pocket I can by dealing with the lower end that find an old post and try to combine old sales with current ones. Those are the customers that almost ALWAYS become a pain to deal with over the next month. (Even though one person in this post I extended the offer to honor the post even though it was months later, of course I wasn't taken up on it, lol, but that's the norm) Been in business for 9 years with plenty of extremely grateful and kind Gen 4 and now Gen 6 customers. I'm a car guy first an foremost. Most car guys don't put up with BS from people and I choose to run my business the same way. Don't like it no biggie shop somewhere else. Also though, as a car guy, most car guys will go above and beyond to help other car guys that are polite and genuinely need help, not a hand out, as a car guy I do the same in my business and, again, 9 years of customers will attest to it. Of course, it's 2017. 99 happy customers you never hear from yet the 1 unhappy posts about it 99 times. Sometimes due to extenuating circumstances it's not that cut and dry. For example this Canada customer. I screwed up for a MONTH confusing him with a previous order, which has now delayed his order due to my mistake. I try to make sure all forms of communication are channeled to my e-mail to keep better track of orders, but in this instance I wasn't able to access my email (was in SW FL helping family after the storm), the customer didn't know that and posted here. Totally in the right, what else was he supposed to do as he wasn't getting a response from me. He's an exception to the rule though. He's been EXTREMELY kind through it all and it's a situation where I just messed up. For the most part though, 99 are happy, 1 can't read and blames me for their misunderstanding and blasts the web. As far as bashing other products... Please show me where. I've dealt with pretty much every company any of you would buy anything from either from reselling their products or having them make my products. I have first hand experience in how it is all made, the costs, the quality, etc... I hold my tongue on most parts but there are some parts that are just ridiculously bad and, as a car guy, I'll say it. Heck, there's parts I MAKE, that I bash when people TRY TO ORDER THEM (Gen 4 Harness Bars for example, absolutely stupid product, get a cage and be safe, but people want them so I made them lol). The customer is not always right. However, the customer is always taken care of .

Lol, thanks. It's not bad at all though. I GREATLY enjoy seeing stuff I came up with on people's cars and the people enjoying them. That far outweighs any of the downside.
Only main issue is modern times lol... There's literally 10 ways people contact me (this forum PM, personal FB, business FB, personal IG, business IG, website, web email, etc...) which can make it very easy for one person (other than a friend Kyle who runs my 6LE IG it's just me here doing everything) to lose track of something over all the different forms of communication. It's why I try to funnel everyone into emails. I don't even put the phone number up as when I'm in the shop the metal building doesn't let calls come through and some of the voicemails don't come through until a week later. If anyone asks for my number I happily give it to them it's just by asking I get to preface it with "Text me first so I know to walk out and call you or give me your number and let's set a time to call" so people don't call, it goes to VM, leave a VM and not hear back from me for a week or more lol. |

Hey man don't think I am bashing you what you do is something 99.9% of the people out there cant do.. I am just playing devil's advocate.. And explaining how your post came across. It was constructive and informative and at no point did I say you did bad business or say someone should not buy from you. If this is your hobby business thats great you have that choice on how you want to treat people. In this forum this is the first time I have seen you seem a bit frustrated. As for bashing other products this is what you said. "feel free to buy the goofy lines of the ZL1 Carbon Fiber knock off made out of the USA, no one is stopping you" There is only one ZL1 Carbon fiber stylized hood out there so you might as well have just tossed in the companies name. I just always try to look at things from everyone's perspective. Text never justifies words and you should reflect on people's opinions of yourself it is important in some way or another whether you care or not for their business. This will be my last response as I never meant to make this into a bashing argument, sometimes I toss my opinion where it is not needed.
