if they follow the trent they will do a small refresh 2019. but im sure thats probly the 2019 they start working on things years ahead.
op i suggest u wait till the end of the year. you can see if the 2018 is worth it. plus u will find deep discounts on the 17s on lots

What initial issues are common with the 16-17? I've only heard of the rear diff whine that supposedly is fixed by the first fluid flush?

I've got a '17 SS1LE on order.... making sure it wouldn't be wise to wait for an '18 if it's anything more than just the washer level sensor

Some 2018 model year GM's will have an App shop on the Radio, maybe the Camaro will get it but as of now, only a few GMC & Cadillacs will get it.

I don't doubt that its not, but then again has that been confirmed? The 2017 ZL1 has it. The 2018 Mustang has it. You know the Camaro SS will likely have it sometime soon. My guess is it will come with a refresh, which is likely 2019.

EDIT: OK...so I see order guides aren't showing much new for 2018.

Mine was a later build in 17 and most of the recalls and issues of the 16 and early 17 production I've missed so far. I think late production 17s would be fine.

Glad your 16 has been good to you. A lot of others haven't been so lucky, and the 17's still seem to be suffering some of the same issues as the 16, hence my statement.

There have been a few problems on the thousands of cars. Nothing major for a majority of them.
