Is that an aftermarket blind spot system ? Or dealer installed .. on the zl1 it's in the side mirrors

btw, in my 2017 2SS, sport setting was louder than track....
try it ...

Not sure if they are aftermarket or dealer installed. I just seemed to have the same problem he did. I pulled the f51 fuse correctly and the blind side markers didn't come on when I start the car, they didn't come on after driving around. Put the fuse back in and they worked again. I might try it again, but I really didn't notice a big difference. Maybe the valves were closed, so I would think when I pulled the fuse, they stayed closed..I could be wrong on that though.

When you pull the fuse the valves open by default (power off position). So it's easy to tell if you pulled the right fuse with the car on or in service mode. Also the Blind Spot fuse is in the trunk fuse box. So there's no explanation for why pulling a fuse from the engine bay box would kill them. But considering several members including me have found a mystery relay in the engine bay box, I'm beginning to wonder if the owner's manuals are full of mistakes.

Good to know, thanks for the info. I going to just leave the fuse in, I couldn't really tell any difference with it in or out.

It's very subtle. More crackle. Slight drone on highway.

I put the fuse back in the 16 SS I traded off and pulled the ZL1's before driving it off the lot. 4700ish miles and no issues so far

Forgive me as I am not a Zl1 owner and just stumbled across this thread, but what exactly does pulling the fuse do? I'm fairly certain if you leave the exhaust in "track" mode it will stay open regardless of driving conditions... I understand that the valves apparently close at freeway speeds, regardless of exhaust mode, but this car leaves quite a bit of carbon build up on the exhaust tips, and my inners are pristine, as if no air has flowed out. Maybe I just don't drive long enough at a steady freeway speed

Okay, thank you. Guess I was expecting more, with the valves always being open.

It's not only at highway speed, it's at light throttle positions as well. It makes a bigger difference on A8 cars than M6 ones. Exhaust is coming out both pipes, but the soot buildup is always worse on the bypass valves because the muffler is not hiding it. Try putting yours in Stealth and cold crank it. Watch all the crap that comes out the inner pipes then. Guys running the fuse pull need to reinstall it periodically to blow out the muffler/inner pipes. One of the reasons I got a M2W controller so I can do it with a remote.
