I'll say this whole heartedly.

You learn to effing Love the sound. (Mind you I have helical gears so its a pretty smooth one)

At idle there is a weird whistle/whine, sure, but the symphony that follows WOT is nothing short of sheer beauty. As you build boost you get a supercharger-esk whine noise crescendo... But it doesn't let you forget that there is a turbine involved. You get the higher pitched turbo style boost build noise with it. then as you shift [unless you NO LIFT which don't forget my M6 friends, is a thing as well as very useful for staying in boost] there is the glorious PSHHHHH between gears, then Boom you're back in the seat as boost is instantly available. You notice the hellcat next to you has someone crying in the driver seat. Life becomes somewhat less annoying in those 11 seconds or less :P

First procharged v8, i've had a turbo v8 before, I like this more so far.

It shipped yesterday. So I'd have to imagine you would be seeing yours today or tomorrow hopefully. Depending on where you are. We can have our own build off Try to get a tracking number, because it will have to be signed for.

Man I hope so! We can definitely have a build off! I'll post numbers as soon as I get them. Just waiting on the call from my tuner

When you ordered the P-1X, did you have the option to go with the helical gearset or is there only one gearset choice with the P-1X?

I'm following your install. If the Whipple falls through a P1X full kit with helical, stage 2 IC and black finish is almost identical in price to the Whipple and is probably my next choice.

You still have the option. I went with the helical.

It's in no way a hit on you guys waiting, however just for reference mine will be here within 16 days of ordering, and that's with me upgrading half way though to the 1X.

Believe I priced out $5800 for full kit as above with race valve. Add the P1x upgrade....$200??
A wee bit cheaper than a whipple.....and ready to run some high HP numbers.

It only flows 75cfm more. 50hp tops. I LOL at the 100hp dreamers.
If you string it out to the top rpm....your 6500rpm HP max # will show improvement.
Doubt if you will see anything 2000-4000
I'll have to dig the article up, but the P1X out performs the P1S across the table. More throttle response in the low side, more torque across the graph, and 50 more HP. When MR 45TH mentioned the X, I started doing research. On pro chargers website you can download the data for every SC they build. The X is 75cfm more, but also spins 5,000 more rpm, flows more air, and makes more psi at lower revolutions. The inducer and exducer are resized and upgraded which produces less strain on the system. It's actually a decent improvement. The P1X does 50hp, the D1X does 100HP.

I'm happy for you. I think you ordered after me, changed your order, and you're still getting yours before me.

I went with both! If you're keeping a budget and want the most bang for your buck, donthe SC first.

IMO, the centri SC is a more street friendly set up, and makes more power. I think your plan B is a solid plan if Whipple doesn't produce.
