Glad you are ok but as an automotive engineer this is infuriating. It takes millions of dollars and years to develop tech that helps prevent totaling a 45k car and endangering the occupants and you disabled it. I just don't get it.

Hope you get a new one, maybe leave the nannies on and help control insurance costs for all of us!

As stated man glad you are ok. Material shit is replaceable and comes and goes not your life. Believe it or not (yes it's definitely a total loss) but that car will 99% get bought back and repaired and resold (rebuilt salvage) and if done right no one will ever know.

Completely avoidable. What a shame.

Cars can be replaced, glad no one was hurt. Hopefully this incident will serve as a good reminder for all.

I'm the black sheep here and both of you guys are out of line. He does not need a damn lecture or scolding Jesus Christ. Guess what? I almost always turn my nannies all off 95% of time. I did it in my 672 rwhp ctsv wagon and my modded 09 Z06, I don't think a stock sub 400 rwhp Camaro is in any danger of being too fast for nannies off lol.

He is not looking for compassion on here but damn save these pointless comments to yourselves or don't post at all!

No scolding from me. No lecture either. Definitely no compassion either. Mine was more of a reminder that if you play stupid games you win stupid prizes.

Please point me in the direction about comments I can make and comments I can't that way we can avoid getting your panties in a bunch in the future.

This unfortunately is a good and harsh lesson, leave the nannies on for the street especially in the wet. Potentially still would have your car if you had left these systems on.

Glad you're are ok, these cars do extreamly well in crash testing and it shows since you walked away, got to thank the Engineers behind it!

Cars can be replaced, but with people it is not so easy. Glad you are OK.

Stupid to be driving with all the safety features off at midnight on a rain soaked road. At least you admitted it. Sure hope it happens to marioschmoe next.
